Judaica Europeana
Ten institutions involved in the preservation of the Jewish heritage in Europe (Medem Library, the library of the Alliance israélite universelle, the Jewish Museum of London, Jewish Museum of Athens, the library of the Goethe University of Frankfort on Main, la British Library, the Jewish Archives of Hungary, the italian Ministry of Culture, lthe jewish Historic Institute of Warsaw et the Friendship Research Center of Bologna) are taking part in the project Judaica Europeana. This project is subsidized by the European Commission and coordinated by the European Association for Jewish Culture (London).
The aim of Judaica Europeana is to offer, on the website www.judaica-europeana.eu, digitized documents dealing with Jewish contributions to European cities: hundreds of thousands of books, photographs, post cards, posters and audio/video recordings will be put on line by the end of 2011 by the various participating institutions.
