The National Library of Lithuania has just published, for the first time ever, a bilingual volume (Yiddish-Lithuanian) devoted to the past and present of Yiddish culture in this country. This work, by Esfir Bramson, the bibliographer who played a vital role in the rescue of the cultural heritage devastated by the Nazis and Soviets, will be presented, as well as a number of publications in English on the same subject.
