A new home for Yiddish!

Dear friends,

In September 2008, the Paris Yiddish Center - Medem Library, with the help of the Shoah Foundation, the Rothschild Foundation and over 600 devoted contributors, was able to acquire the new premises we so sorely needed for so long. The new site, located not far from our present address, at 29 rue du Château d’Eau, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, will provide nearly twice the space we have had up to now, which will enable us to store all our books and expand our activities.

After the long hard job of renovating and remodeling the building, we are pleased and proud to announce that we will soon be moving in!

The building work is now completed, and the shelves are ready to receive our precious collections. What is still lacking, however, is audiovisual equipment and a computer network. To complete this project, we are once again calling on you.
