Judaica europeana

Ten institutions committed to the conservation of the European Jewish heritage (Medem Library, Library of the Alliance Israelite Universelle, Jewish Museum of London, Museum of Athens, Goethe University Library in Frankfurt am Main, British Library, Jewish Archives of Hungary, Italian Ministry of Culture, Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw, and the Research Centre Friendship in Bologna) participate in the project Judaica Europeana. This project is supported by the European Commision.

The objective of Judaica Europeana is to propose, on the Web site www.judaica-europeana.eu, digitized documents related to Jewish contribution to European cities: hundreds of thousands books, photographs, postcards, posters as well as audio and video recordings will be put online during the next two years by the participating institutions.
